Join us May 9th! Real Talk provides information and health resources to teens across Cumberland County.
Cumberland County Department of Public Health, Cumberland County Schools, Cape Fear Valley Health System and multiple agencies in Cumberland County have joined forces to combat teen pregnancy and other teen related health issues. Seventy-First High School, home of the Falcons will serve as this year’s host site!
Parents and students are invited to join the discussion and learn strategies to prevent unintended pregnancy among teens. The program is designed to encompass the totality of the teen health and wellness. Real Talk promises to provide entertainment, information for teen health issues that plague our community such as prescription drug abuse, asthma, diabetes and many more.
Teen pregnancy affects the entire family and community, research shows that when parents are involved, the rates drop and students make informed decisions about sexual health.
Local teen health data will be shared and strategies to have effective communication with your teen. Join us May 9, 2017 and embrace valuable resources about teen wellness with youth from all across the community.
